This server is directly connected to the gateway (which is at gw.hamnet.sq8l.pl or 44.165.130.3),
that provides connectivity between the local AMPRNet subnetwork (44.165.130.0/24) and the rest of the AMPRNet using tunnels.
Services available at this server (sq8l.ampr.org or hamnet.sq8l.pl or 44.165.130.1):
- This WWW server (lighttpd) - running
- AMPRNet gateway - whole 44.0.0.0/9 and 44.128.0.0/10 network is accessible. The Internet is not routed
- DNS server (named) at port 53 - running - provides DNS forwarding (only for local HamNET)
- NTP server (Chrony) at port 123 - running - GPS stabilized (stratum 1)
- APRS server (aprsc) at port 14580 (status page) - running
This WWW server is also reachable from the Internet side at s1.sq8l.pl or gw.sq8l.pl.
The current server setup is:
- Raspberry Pi 4 B (2GB RAM, 16GB SD) with Manjaro Linux
- 120GB Intel SSD attached via USB 3.0
- Some 5V 3A power supply
- USB to Fast Ethernet adapter for local HamNET
HamNET/AMPRNet setup and the 70cm APRS node SQ8L-3
The whole setup is attached to my Gigabit Ethernet home network. The Internet speed is about 300/40 Mb/s (instantaneous upload peaks at 70 Mb/s)
The AMPRNet gateway runs on my main home router (Mikrotik hEX RB750Gr3). IPIP tunnels are used to establish links between other AMPR networks.
Also, the AMPR traffic is tunneled through my home network to the RPi server, that acts as a main AMPR router for 44.165.130.0/24.
Current IP address assignment in the 44.165.130.0/24 network is as follows:
- 44.165.130.128/25 - backbone WLAN network in Rzeszow
- 44.165.130.0/25 - smaller networks, links, wired networks, special purpose
- 44.165.130.0/28 - wired network at the SQ8L location
- 44.165.130.3 - AMPRNet gateway
- 44.165.130.1 - Main router, this WWW server and other services
- 44.165.130.2 - SQ8L-N2 node, but from the LAN interface side
- 44.165.130.32/28 - local VPN subnet
- 44.165.130.33 - main VPN gateway (at SQ8L)
- 44.165.130.64/28 - VHF/UHF packet radio network
